About the role
America's Home Health Services is seeking a highly skilled and analytical Controller/Business Analyst to oversee all financial operations for two affiliated sister companies. This role requires a strong background in home health and home care, with the ability to manage financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis to support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive, and experienced in navigating the financial complexities of healthcare organizations, particularly within the home health and home care sectors.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial functions for two sister companies, including accounting, reporting, and financial analysis
- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis processes
- Monitor cash flow, revenue cycle, and overall financial performance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and industry regulations specific to home health and home care
- Analyze operational and financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth
- Partner with leadership to support strategic planning and business decisions
- Oversee billing, reimbursement, and payer mix analysis (Medicare, Medicaid, private pay, etc.)
- Implement and maintain internal controls and financial policies
- Manage audits and coordinate with external accountants or auditors as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or MBA preferred)
- Minimum of 5+ years of financial management experience in home health and home care (required)
- Strong knowledge of healthcare reimbursement models and regulations
- Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, and business analysis
- Advanced proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple entities and priorities effectively
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
