Hiring a Controller for a high growth manufacturer with their offices in Scottsdale, AZ.

Job Description

The Controller will manage all aspects of financial reporting and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

• Develop and implement efficient accounting policies and procedures to improve financial operations.
• Prepare and present financial statements and reports to senior management.
• Lead month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Manage WIP and Project Cost reporting.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support company growth and financial stability.
• Supervise and mentor accounting staff to enhance team performance and development.

The Successful Applicant

A Successful Controller Should Have:

• A strong background in Accounting & Finance within manufacturing or other related project costing/WIP type businesses.
• Proficiency in financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance processes.
• Experience managing month-end and year-end close processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with ASC 606.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities to manage and mentor teams effectively.
• Familiarity with ERP systems such as Navision, SAP, MS Dynamics or other relevant accounting software and tools.
• Experience with system implementations is preferred.
• A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• This role is onsite and based in Scottsdale, AZ.
