About Us Edgehog Trading is a proprietary trading firm specializing in electronic options market making. We take a technology-driven approach, designing and operating automated, scalable systems to provide liquidity across markets. Our team spans trading, engineering, and business operations, working together to build and support the systems that power the firm. We emphasize data-driven decision making, rigorous problem solving, and continuous improvement to navigate complex and evolving markets. We operate in a highly collaborative environment where ideas can move quickly from concept to implementation, and where individuals are empowered to take ownership and contribute directly to the firm’s growth. About The Role We are looking for a Controller to own the firm's accounting and financial operations end to end, reporting directly to the CEO. This is the senior finance seat at Edgehog: you will own the books across multiple entities, including our broker-dealer, and you will also own the mid-office function that reconciles trading activity to the financial statements — clearing statements, fees, rebates, and P&L reconciliation. Because we are a small team, the role is deliberately broad. Beyond the close, you will manage relationships with clearing brokers, exchanges, and external accountants, oversee treasury and margin funding, and run payroll and people operations. We would rather hire someone curious and adaptable than someone who fits a narrow job description, and we expect the shape of the role to change as the firm grows and as you find things worth owning.
