Controller

Responsibilities

• Oversight of accounting, payroll, financial reporting, cash management, and investment activities.
• Leadership of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes.
• Development and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Training of employees on accounting systems, financial processes, and reporting procedures.
• Preparation and review of federal, state, and local tax filings.
• Annual budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and variance analysis.
• Analysis of financial climate and market trends.
• Cash flow monitoring and transaction oversight.
• Review and approval of significant disbursements and cash transactions.
• Review and analysis of monthly balance sheets.
• Preparation and presentation of financial analyses and executive reporting.
• Mentoring and development of accounting, payroll, and finance team members.
• Collaboration with Operations and executive leadership on financial performance analysis.
• Participation in special projects and report compilation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• CPA required.
• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience.
• Multi-unit restaurant, hospitality, retail, franchise, or consumer services experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in Wealth Management a plus.
• Working knowledge of state and local regulatory requirements applicable to finance.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Advanced math skills; ability to calculate figures, amounts, and percentages.
• Initiative and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Resourcefulness with exceptional problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
• Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
