- Ensure financial records are accurate, complete, timely, and compliant with U.S. GAAP.
- Build and maintain a disciplined close process with clear timelines, ownership, and review standards.

- Own 13-week cash reporting, AP/AR aging, and short-term cash flow visibility so leadership has a clear view of cash in, cash out, and liquidity risk.
- Create spend controls around vendor onboarding, approval limits, purchase orders, credit cards, and expense policies.
- Partner with HR and Operations on payroll reconciliations, labor-related accounting, and finance process compliance.
- Lead audit readiness and manage internal and external audits from planning through resolution.
- Manage and develop the accounting team with clear standards, ownership, and accountability.
- Identify breakdowns early, escalate issues quickly, and drive corrective action before problems compound.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including experience as a Controller, Assistant Controller, or senior accounting leader.
- Strong command of U.S. GAAP, monthly close, reconciliations, financial reporting, and internal controls.
- Proven success improving accounting accuracy, team discipline, and process rigor in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong cash management instincts and experience building practical cash reporting and forecasting visibility.
- Experience owning AP, AR, payroll accounting, and general ledger operations at scale.
- Strong systems experience, including QuickBooks, payroll systems, GreenSlate, NetSuite, or similar platforms.
- Strong Excel and Google Workspace skills.
- Experience leading audits and coordinating with outside auditors, tax partners, and external stakeholders.
- Able to work hands-on in the details while leading a team and improving infrastructure.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA strongly preferred.

- A builder of process that provides clarity.
- Calm under pressure and able to create clarity in messy environments.
- Strong on follow-through, ownership, and accountability.
- Able to partner cross-functionally without becoming passive or vague.
- Someone others can trust because your numbers are right and your word means something.
