Controller
Position Summary
Operating from our Crestview headquarters, the Controller serves as a key financial leader and strategic partner to the CFO. The role oversees the consolidated accounting function, manages financial integrity, and provides the clear data insights necessary to optimize operational performance and support private equity sponsor requirements.
Essential Job Functions
Financial Leadership & Controls: Direct all enterprise accounting team members and operations, financial reporting, and internal controls across multiple manufacturing sites to ensure GAAP compliance.
Strategic Reporting & Insights: Deliver accurate, timely consolidated monthly financial statements and corporate metrics to provide leadership and investors with visibility into operational performance.
Operational Cost Accounting: Partner with plant leadership to optimize manufacturing cost structures, variance analyses, and inventory valuations.
Audit & Compliance: Lead the preparation for annual external financial audits and coordinate corporate tax compliance activities.
Treasury & Cash Management: Monitor working capital, optimize cash flow, and track capital expenditure (CapEx) investments across the organization.
Professional Requirements, Qualifications & Desired Competencies
Experience: 8+ years of progressive accounting leadership and management experience, specifically within a manufacturing environment (aerospace and defense experience is a significant plus).
Team Leadership: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team, fostering professional growth and accountability.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related business discipline.
Credentials: CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) designation is highly preferred.
Technical & PE Background: Strong proficiency with manufacturing ERP systems and experience operating within a private equity-backed, data-driven corporate structure.
