Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, cash flow projections, and key financial performance metrics.
- Lead all construction accounting activities, including job costing, work-in-progress (WIP) reporting, project billings, retainage tracking, and revenue recognition.
- Partner with project managers to analyze project profitability, monitor project costs, and identify financial risks and opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Prior experience in construction accounting.
- Strong cost accounting experience.
- Ability to work independently and effectively manage competing priorities.
- Proven ability to quickly assess situations and make an immediate impact.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Eagerness to learn and continuously improve processes and systems.
