About the role

Plant ControllerPosition Summary A growing manufacturing organization is seeking an experienced Plant Controller to support the financial and operational performance of a production facility. This position partners closely with site leadership and corporate finance teams to provide financial reporting, cost analysis, budgeting support, and operational insights. The ideal candidate will help ensure accurate financial data, effective controls, and informed business decision‑making.

Responsibilities

• Financial Management & Reporting: Oversee day‑to‑day accounting activities, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll support.
• Prepare monthly financial reports, account reconciliations, and journal entries to ensure accurate financial records.
• Analyze financial and operational data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Cost Accounting & Inventory Control: Monitor inventory balances and support inventory accuracy through regular reconciliations and reporting.
• Assist with cost tracking, variance analysis, and profitability reporting for manufacturing operations.
• Partner with operations teams to review production metrics and ensure accurate financial representation of plant activities.
• Budgeting & Financial Planning: Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Provide management with reports and analysis to aid operational and financial decision‑making.
• Track performance against budget and help identify opportunities to improve operating results.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Additional accounting or finance certifications are a plus. Relevant professional experience may be considered in lieu of certain educational requirements.
• Experience: Five or more years of progressive accounting, finance, or manufacturing finance experience. Prior experience supporting financial activities within a production, distribution, or industrial environment preferred. Previous supervisory or leadership experience is beneficial.

Pay

$75,000.00 USD Annually - $90,000.00 USD Annually
