About the Role
The Contracts Manager plays a critical role within the Legal team by managing the contract lifecycle and supporting commercial transactions. This position ensures efficient contract management processes, enabling cross-functional teams to execute agreements promptly and accurately. The role contributes to scaling legal operations and supporting the organization's current and future growth by developing resources, managing systems, and facilitating collaboration.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end contract review processes for various agreements including NDAs, MSAs, Statements of Work, and procurement contracts.
- Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Security, and other stakeholders to facilitate timely deal execution.
- Administer the contract lifecycle management (CLM) platform, including system configuration and workflow optimization.
- Develop and maintain automated contract workflows and intake processes to reduce cycle times.
- Create and update contract templates, clause libraries, and playbooks to support efficient contracting operations.
- Produce training materials, guidelines, and FAQs to assist partners and improve self-service capabilities.
- Participate in legal team initiatives such as process improvements, tool implementations, and reporting standardization.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in contract management for commercial transactions, preferably in SaaS or technology sectors.
- Experience managing diverse commercial agreements including procurement contracts, MSAs, and NDAs.
- Proficiency with contract management systems such as Ironclad, Zip, or DocuSign.
- Ability to work independently, think creatively, and proactively solve problems.
- Collaborative and team-oriented approach.
- Strong responsiveness and service orientation.
- Experience with AI-powered contract tools and implementing CLM systems.
- Project management skills are advantageous.
Pay
The estimated pay range for this role is $115,000 to $170,000. Eligibility to participate in the organization’s equity plan. Compensation reflects experience, skills, location, and other factors assessed during hiring.
