About the Role

The Contracts Director leads a contracting organization, primarily supporting the firm’s work with various government agencies, including the intelligence community. The role focuses on the full contract lifecycle, from opportunity capture to closeout, with an emphasis on compliance, risk management, and business optimization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a contracting team, aligning capabilities with business objectives and client needs.
  • Oversee opportunities, proposals, negotiations, execution, and closeout, ensuring compliance with federal regulations (FAR, DFARS) and corporate policies.
  • Apply enterprise risk management solutions, mitigate organizational conflict of interest (OCI) issues, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Provide expert advice to senior leadership, program managers, and contracting officers on contractual and procurement matters.
  • Drive initiatives such as data rights management and process improvements to enhance operational performance.
  • Work with legal, program, and client teams to support complex programmatic matters.

Requirements

  • Associate degree. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 5+ years in contracts management, including leading large, geographically dispersed contracting organizations.
  • Experience with multiple government agencies, FAR Part 15 and Part 12 contracting, and intelligence community work.
  • Understanding of legal and regulatory requirements for proposal preparation, contract negotiation, and U.S. government procurement.
  • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.

Skills

  • Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to sell and buy IT products (software, SaaS, cloud).

Work Environment

Location: Havelock, NC. Top Secret/SCI clearance required.

Pay

$132,000 – $140,000 annually.
