Shape the future of national security as the Director of Contracts for Leidos' Mission Solutions Business Area within the Intel Sector. This role sits at the intersection of cutting-edge technology and mission-critical impact, where you'll lead complex relationships supporting the nation's intelligence community.

About the role

As Director of Contracts, you'll serve as the strategic advisor to Business Area leadership while managing talent and budget across the organization. This position involves relationship building, risk mitigation, and strategic partnership development at the highest levels, reporting to the Sector Vice President of Contracts & Supply Chain.

Key aspects of this opportunity include:

  • Direct interface with Intelligence Community leaders and Leidos executive leadership
  • Leveraging emerging technologies like AI to revolutionize contract processes
  • Collaborating across Business Development, Program Execution, Legal, Finance, and HR
  • Leading and developing a team of contracts professionals
  • Supporting programs that directly impact national security and intelligence operations

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strategic relationships within the Intelligence Community
  • Lead recruitment, career development, and performance management for contracts organization
  • Drive compliance with FAR, DFAR, and other regulatory requirements while implementing innovative solutions
  • Collaborate with functional leads to resolve complex contractual challenges
  • Deliver results in proposal win-rates, cost savings, compliance, and risk management
  • Provide expert-level negotiation of complex terms and conditions

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree with 12+ years of experience, or Master's with 10+ years in contracts
  • Deep knowledge of government contracts, subcontracts, and proposal support
  • Minimum 4 years of team leadership experience with proven talent development
  • Working expertise in FAR/DFAR, OTAs, CRADAs, and commercial agreements
  • Active Top Secret/SCI with polygraph clearance (required)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Intelligence Community acquisitions expertise
  • Formal contracting certifications
  • Large capture team leadership experience
  • AI implementation experience in contract processes
  • Government or corporate procurement background

Pay

Pay Range: $139,100.00 - $251,450.00. The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
