Contracts And Grants Analyst (RSCH ADM 3 RP)
About the role
Under general supervision of the Contracts and Grants Supervisor, provide administration and analysis for contract and grant pre- and post-awards in the Phoenix Cluster, serving the departments of Plant Pathology, and Entomology & Nematology. Works in a highly independent capacity dealing with the most complex proposals and funding sources and serves as compliance officer and resource advisor to the faculty for proposal submissions. Responsible for the pre-award management of grants and contracts. Provides effort reporting and analytical financial reports for large, complex academic departments with a variety of revenue streams including state, federal, private, funding sources. Responsible for budget preparation, review, analysis, effort reporting, compliance, and forecasting of extramural budgets.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- No minimum education required.
- Experience in financial analysis, forecasting, and strategic planning to analyze quantitative aspects of fiscal and budgetary issues and with compiling financial data and reports.
- Experience in federal, state, and private grant budget preparation based on narrative methodological research plans and designs, analysis, and forecasting to control complex budgets as well as with financial reporting policies.
- Experience using automated financial and payroll/personnel systems, multi-user computer network systems and applicable financial management software.
- Experience in the use of advanced features in spreadsheet software to create complex financial analyses, projections and other financial reports.
- Certified Research Administrator (CRA), or ability to obtain certification within a twelve-month time period from date of appointment.

- Experience with UC Davis accounting, purchasing, entertainment, travel, and business management practices.
Department Overview
The Phoenix Cluster is a large administrative cluster providing administrative and technical support for teaching, research, and outreach to the faculty, staff, and students of Plant Pathology and Entomology & Nematology. The cluster supports 36 faculty, 97 academic titles, 247 staff, and approximately 845 combined undergraduate and graduate students annually.
Pay
$73,080.00 – $130,410.00 per year
Schedule
Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
