Contracts Administrator II
About the role
Serco Inc. is seeking a self-motivated, career-oriented Contracts Administrator to fill a challenging role in a quick-changing, growing, and customer-oriented culture. This is a fast-paced, cradle-to-grave contracting position administering a variety of federal contracts, handling multiple pre-bid opportunities, proposal activities, negotiations, contract award, and administration of the resultant contract. The Contracts Administrator will work directly with customers and senior leaders and will be responsible for administering contract(s) with moderate to high risk. Successful performance will require a high degree of independent and creative judgment applied to goals and objectives of the corporation.
This position can be staffed at any of the following locations with a hybrid work schedule of 2-3 days in office: San Diego, CA or Herndon, VA.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary point-of-contact with the Customer Contracting Officer or Buyer.
- Serve as a focal point for communication with Finance, Legal, and business team members for resolution of contract matters and disputes.
- Understand the business being conducted, the financial/analytical issues, and profit and loss implications.
- Support proposal activity through preparation of NDA, TA, and the analysis of contract structure.
- Perform risk analysis on RFP content and provide guidance to the proposal team.
- Develop negotiation strategy and lead negotiation team for contractual issues.
- Work with different contract types, terminate, and close out contracts.
- Review and manage contractual obligations of the company to ensure that all terms and conditions are met.
- Identify changes to contract requirements and costs and lead recovery through change proposals.
- Analyze significant and/or unique contract requirements, special provisions, terms, and conditions to ensure compliance with appropriate laws, regulations, and corporate policies and business unit procedure and communicate results to team members.
- Assist in identification, development, and implementation of new contract policy and processes.
- Manage special projects when assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
- U.S. Citizenship.
- Minimum 2 years of professional working experience.
- Strong analytic skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to research and understand new issues.
- Ability to travel up to 10%.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of U.S. government acquisition regulations or state, local, or international contracting.
- Demonstrated small team leadership skills.
- Professional certification through NCMA or a college.

Pay
Salary range for this position is provided as a general guideline and represents a good faith estimate across all experience levels. Actual base salary will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, the scope of the role, relevant experience, job-related knowledge, education and training, key skills, and geographic market considerations. For roles available in multiple states, the range may vary to reflect differences in local labor markets. In addition to base salary, eligible positions may include other forms of compensation such as annual bonuses or long-term incentive opportunities.
