Responsibilities
- Interact with potential and existing customers and contractors at the sales counter or via phone/email to understand their needs and provide solutions.
- Participate in preconstruction meetings and job site consultations.
- Having a deep understanding of building materials and products to offer expert advice.
- Conduct material takeoffs and provide accurate quotes.
- Aid customers with selecting appropriate building materials for their projects.
- Process orders, ensure timely delivery, and manage inventory by coordinating with warehouse and delivery personnel to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
- Communicate with outside sales representatives on customer orders, requirements, problems or concerns and changes.
- Develop strong relationships with contractors to ensure repeat business and customer loyalty.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the construction or building materials industry.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
