Responsibilities

  • Interact with potential and existing customers and contractors at the sales counter or via phone/email to understand their needs and provide solutions.
  • Participate in preconstruction meetings and job site consultations.
  • Having a deep understanding of building materials and products to offer expert advice.
  • Conduct material takeoffs and provide accurate quotes.
  • Aid customers with selecting appropriate building materials for their projects.
  • Process orders, ensure timely delivery, and manage inventory by coordinating with warehouse and delivery personnel to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Communicate with outside sales representatives on customer orders, requirements, problems or concerns and changes.
  • Develop strong relationships with contractors to ensure repeat business and customer loyalty.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in sales, preferably in the construction or building materials industry.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
