Contracting & Procurement Analyst
About the role
This position may work up to 1,500 hours per year within a 12 consecutive month period. The reporting location is the California Natural Resources Agency Building at 715 P Street, Sacramento, CA 95814.
Under the direction of the Procurement Supervisor (SSM I), the incumbent will independently perform complex and technical procurement work for IT and non-IT goods and services in accordance with the Procurement Unit's policies and procedures. Work is guided by resources such as the State Contracting Manuals (SCMs), State Administrative Manual (SAM), Government Code (GC), Public Contract Code (PCC), Procurement Unit Memorandums, Broadcast Bulletins, State Contract Advisory Network meetings, Procurement Unit Desk Manuals, the Financial Information System for California (Fi$cal), Email, and Microsoft Office Suite.
Analyst I level candidates may also be considered. Training and development assignments may be available.
Responsibilities
- Perform difficult, complex, and technical procurement tasks for IT and non-IT goods and services.
- Analyze data and present ideas and information both in writing and orally.
- Provide assistance to programs as it relates to procurement requests.
- Act independently and exercise a high degree of initiative in performing tasks.
- Organize and prioritize assignments effectively.
- Write clearly and concisely.
