About the role
Mosaic is seeking Direct Care Workers to contract with us. This role involves visiting people needing services in their homes and communities. You will coordinate visits based on the needs of the individual(s) you serve and your availability. Mosaic provides training and support to help you build a schedule that fits your lifestyle.
You can provide services in small groups or one-on-one, with the ability to coordinate multiple visits per day based on your availability and the needs of those requiring services.
Responsibilities
- Support people with intellectual disabilities through a wide range of tasks, including educational assistance with activities of daily living and household care
- Assist with supported decision making, community integration, and interaction to build independence and social skills
- Help with meal planning and preparation
- Provide medication management
- Offer transportation to appointments or social activities
- Follow a support plan to ensure consistent and appropriate support for those you serve
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver’s license
- Access to a laptop or tablet
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently
- Patience, compassion, and excellent communication skills
Pay
Compensation starts at a minimum of $17.80 per hour, with the potential to earn more. Pay is determined based on the funding level of the individual(s) you are matched with for support.
