Contracted Direct Care Worker

About the role

Mosaic is seeking Direct Care Workers to contract with us, providing support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in their homes and communities. This role offers the flexibility to work on your own terms, allowing you to build a schedule that fits your lifestyle while making a real impact in your community.

You will coordinate visits based on the needs of the individuals you serve and your availability, with the ability to provide services in small groups or one-on-one. Mosaic provides training and support to help you succeed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living and household care
• Support educational assistance and decision-making
• Facilitate community integration and interaction
• Help build independence and social skills
• Assist with meal planning and preparation
• Manage medication as needed
• Provide transportation to appointments or social activities
• Follow a support plan to ensure consistent and appropriate care

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license
• Access to a laptop or tablet
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Patience, compassion, and a commitment to supporting individuals with intellectual disabilities

Pay

Compensation starts at a minimum of $17.80 per hour, with potential to earn more based on the funding level of the individual(s) you support.
