Contracted Direct Care Worker

About the role

Mosaic is seeking Direct Care Workers to contract with us, providing support to individuals in their homes and communities. This role allows you to build your own small business with flexibility, working on your own terms while making a real impact in your community. You’ll coordinate visits based on the needs of the individuals you serve and your availability.

Pay

Compensation starts at a minimum of $17.80 per hour, with potential to earn more based on the funding level of the individuals you support.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with intellectual disabilities through a wide range of tasks, including:
• Assistance with activities of daily living and household care
• Supported decision-making and community integration
• Building independence and social skills
• Meal planning and preparation
• Medication management
• Transportation to appointments or social activities
• Follow a support plan to ensure consistent and appropriate care
• Coordinate multiple visits per day, either in small groups or 1:1, based on your availability and the needs of those you serve

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver’s license
• Access to a laptop or tablet
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Patience, compassion, and a commitment to providing high-quality support
