About the role

St. Charles Community College (SCC) is seeking a Part-time Contract Trainer III: Supply Chain instructor to teach courses in Supply Chain Management and Logistics, certificate and degree programs lectures/labs.

Responsibilities

• Create and deliver training to comply with industry recognized Supply Chain Management and Logistics procedures.
• Assess student learning outcomes.
• Foster effective learning in both classroom and lab settings.
• Promote good public relations via contacts and regular communications with business, industry, and the public sector.

Requirements

• Demonstrated success in serving diverse student populations.
• Associates degree with at least five years of experience or a certificate in the field of Logistics.
• One year instructor/training experience within the last ten years in the Supply Chain Management Logistics, and/or industry.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft office products.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to work flexible hours when necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Logistics/Transportation Management systems or closely related field.
• 18+ hours of graduate coursework in Supply Chain Logistics/ Transportation Management systems or closely related field.
• Three years instructor/training experience AND Three years of industry experience within the last ten years in Supply Chain Logistics/Transportation Management Systems or closely related industry.
• Experience in an academic setting.
• Knowledge of a computerized transportation management system.
• ASCM/APICS CPIM, CSCP, CTLD, LINCS or similar certification preferred.
