Responsibilities
- Manages the daily work activities of the work unit/department staff, ensuring quality, productivity, functional excellence and efficiency while assisting management in accomplishing strategic and operational objectives.
- Provides guidance to staff and is responsible for staffing, budget compliance, contributing to staffing decisions such as hiring and terminating employment, coaching and counseling employees on work related performance, and assisting in the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure a safe and effective work environment.
- Implements training, monitoring and operations initiatives that secure compliance with ethical and legal business practices and accreditation/regulatory/ government regulations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain business or related field
- Experience: Seven years of experience in contracting and supply chain of which three years must have been in a people management role; for internal employees seven years in contracting and supply chain with HM performance that demonstrates leadership responsibility
- Licenses and Certifications: Preferred - CPCM (NCMA), CTCM (State Comptroller Certified), CTCD (State Comptroller Certified)

- Possess ability to work with complex contracting concepts and language to draft, execute, and manage complex legal documents. Ability to manage large volumes of contracts in different stages of completion.
- Ability to conduct contract due diligence before recommendation to execute, such as assessment of clinical needs, financial impact, and terms and conditions.
- Ability to initiate and facilitate problem-solving processes when issue or concerns are identified.
- Expert knowledge of healthcare supplies including medical/surgical supplies and equipment.
- Demonstrated competency in Microsoft Office products including outlook, excel, PowerPoint, and word along with other supply chain and data mining tools. Advanced spreadsheet skills including pivot tables, v-look ups, and managing large data sets.
