Responsibilities
- Perform instructional classroom and practical hands-on training in Supply Chain Management and Logistics, including Transportation Management Systems, Supply Chain and Logistics Management, Procurement, Warehousing, and other relevant fields.
- Create and deliver training that complies with industry recognized Supply Chain Management and Logistics procedures.
- Achieve and assess student learning outcomes through effective teaching methods in both classroom and lab settings.
- Foster positive public relations by maintaining good communication with business, industry, and the public sector.
Requirements
- Associates degree with at least five years of experience or a certificate in the field of Logistics.
- One year instructor/training experience within the last ten years in Supply Chain Management Logistics, and/or industry.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft office products.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Ability to work flexible hours when necessary.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Logistics/Transportation Management systems or closely related field, or 18+ hours of graduate coursework in these areas.
- Three years instructor/training experience AND three years of industry experience within the last ten years in Supply Chain Logistics/Transportation Management Systems or closely related industries.
- Experience in an academic setting.
- Knowledge of a computerized transportation management system.
- ASCM/APICS CPIM, CSCP, CTLD, LINCS or similar certification preferred.
