(Contract) Sr. Manager, HR Technology
Position Summary
The Senior Manager, HR Technology leads the delivery, optimization, and stewardship of the organization's global HR technology ecosystem, with Oracle Fusion HCM serving as the core HRIS platform. Reporting to the VP, HR Technology & Digital Transformation and leading a team of four, this role oversees HR technology operations, platform administration, technical delivery, integrations, data quality, vendor relationships, and continuous improvement. This role also serves as a key partner in approved digital transformation and AI enablement initiatives, working across HR, IT, vendors, and the HR AI Enablement Team to translate business requirements into scalable technology and measurable outcomes.
Essential Responsibilities
HR Technology Leadership & Operations
- Lead the administration, optimization, support, and continuous improvement of Oracle Fusion HCM and related global HR technology platforms.
- Lead and develop the HR Technology / HRIS team, establishing priorities, performance expectations, development plans, and clear accountability.
- Maintain effective relationships with technology vendors, systems integrators, implementation partners, and internal stakeholders.
Technology Roadmap & Solution Delivery
- Develop and maintain the HR technology delivery roadmap in support of approved HR, digital transformation, and AI enablement priorities.
- Lead HR technology enhancements, projects, platform upgrades, releases, integrations, and major implementations from planning through operational transition.
- Provide technical recommendations regarding solution feasibility, architecture, integration, security, scalability, and long-term supportability.
Digital Transformation & AI Enablement
- Partner with the HR AI Enablement Team to evaluate, implement, and operationalize approved automation, ESS / MSS orchestration, agentic application workflows, and intelligent workflow capabilities.
- Provide technical leadership for the deployment and integration of AI-enabled capabilities within HR systems and business processes.
- Serve as a technology advisor during transformation initiatives, balancing innovation and business value with operational stability, scalability, security, and governance.
Data, Reporting & Integrations
- Maintain strong data governance, system controls, data quality, and integration effectiveness across HR technology platforms.
- Improve reporting capabilities and data accessibility to strengthen workforce and organizational decision-making.
- Establish and continuously improve processes supporting data integrity, security, integration reliability, and operational efficiency.
Execution, Change & Adoption
- Lead implementation planning, system testing, release management, deployment, and transition activities for HR technology initiatives.
- Coordinate across HR, IMS, vendors, and business stakeholders to ensure disciplined execution and successful implementation.
- Manage systems integrators and forward-deployed engineers to ensure effective delivery, efficient utilization, and meaningful knowledge transfer to internal teams.
Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Remain current on Oracle Fusion HCM capabilities, HR technology trends, emerging SaaS solutions, automation, AI-enabled capabilities, and evolving platform functionality.
- Identify and recommend opportunities to improve system utilization, operational effectiveness, employee experience, and organizational capability.
- Promote a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, accountability, and operational excellence across the HR technology function.
Supervision & Professional Development
- Reports to the VP, HR Technology & Digital Transformation.
- Leads the HR Technology team, currently consisting of four employees.
- Works closely with HR leadership, Information Technology / IMS, Finance, data teams, the HR AI Enablement Team, vendors, systems integrators, and other business stakeholders.
- Provides significant exposure to global HR technology strategy, digital transformation, AI enablement, enterprise systems, and cross-functional initiatives.
- Expected to maintain current knowledge of Oracle Fusion HCM, modern HR technology, automation, AI-enabled applications, and emerging technology capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree preferred in Human Resources, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Technology, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive HRIS experience, including a minimum of 3 years leading an HRIS or HR technology function within a multinational organization.
- Deep, hands-on knowledge of Oracle Fusion HCM required.
- Demonstrated experience leading complex HR technology implementations, upgrades, integrations, releases, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience partnering across HR, technology / IMS, vendors, systems integrators, and business functions in a complex organizational environment.
- Exposure to or working knowledge of agentic workflows and applications within Oracle.
- Strong understanding of HR technology architecture, integrations, data governance, reporting, automation, AI-enabled capabilities, and modern SaaS environments.
- Strong project and delivery management capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities, dependencies, stakeholders, and implementation workstreams.
- Strong analytical, technical problem-solving, stakeholder management, and decision-making capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively across technical, functional, and executive audiences.
