Contract Specialist-PRN-1st Shift
About the Role
Ensure the principles of good management by administering all contracts in a way that upholds sound management and fiscal practices, manages risk, and controls the quality of services purchased and provided on behalf of Erlanger Health System and its patients.
Responsibilities include the development of Requests for Proposal (RFPs) and Bids, conducting contract negotiations, awarding contracts, administration, and preparation of price/cost analysis. Conduct vendor negotiations regarding contract exceptions and identify potential liability or unfavorable terms that might negatively affect Erlanger Health System (EHS). Ensure standard methodologies and applicable federal, state, and local mandates are consistently followed in contract management, analysis, and reporting as established in Procurement Business Processes.

- Ensure compliance with standard methodologies and applicable federal, state, and local mandates in contract management, analysis, and reporting.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree or 5 years of equivalent experience (required).
- Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
- 5 years of progressive healthcare contracts negotiation experience or 10 years of non-healthcare supervisory experience (required).
- Healthcare experience (preferred).
Skills
- Proficient use of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with PeopleSoft ERP (preferred).
- Certification in CMRP (preferred).
