Contract Specialist, GS-1102-12, DHA (60742)

Duties

The position will serve as a Senior Contract Specialist performing a full range of contract functions encompassing issuing solicitations, evaluating proposals, contract negotiations, execution and administration for complex and technical services and/or Construction and A/E programs.

Perform detailed analysis of bids and proposals received, ensuring compliance with specifications on advertised procurements.

Perform cost and price analysis for all negotiations to determine fair and reasonableness of price.

Utilize innovation for strategic decision-making in the acquisition process.

Perform contracting functions of higher than usual complexity, such as contracting functions where no contractual precedence exists.

• To qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below:
• Specialized Experience
• Performing pre-award or post award functions including price cost analysis or negotiations;
• Administering contracts for maintenance or construction.
• Time-in-Grade: Candidates must have held a position at the next lower grade (GS-11) for at least 52 weeks.
