CONTRACT SPECIALIST

Duties Summary You will serve as a Contract Specialist in the Contracting Department of NAVSUP FLC PEARL HARBOR. Requirements Qualifications In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of Contract Specialist experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Managing pre-award and post-award contracting functions relating to the planning, development, advertisement, award and administration of contracts. 2) Advising on matters of procurement, policy and best practices to senior level officials, military and/or civilian personnel, including DoD, DON and other Federal Agencies and senior industry management officials. 3) Coordinating procurements which include cost reimbursement, fixed-price contracting, and/or cost-plus incentive fees of a complex nature; 4) Applying knowledge of Federal contracting laws, statutes, regulations, and policies to administer and close out contracts; and 5) Providing technical advice and guidance to contracting professionals on a wide variety of procurement actions and contracting processes and procedures.
