CONTRACT SPECIALIST

Position Description You will serve as a Contract Specialist in the Procurement Group, Weapons & Energetics Department of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. Position Duties/Responsibilities You will assist senior contract specialist in the negotiation and administration of contracts and orders between the Government and contractors from receipt of requirement through physical and financial completion.You will assist in reviewing purchase requests for completeness and clarity.You will coordinate with internal and external offices and agencies on matters relating to assigned contracts.You will assist with preparing written solicitation that includes the appropriate provisions and clauses tailored to the requirement and assembled in a format appropriate to the acquisition method and market for the required supply or service.You will respond to an inquiry about the solicitation received prior to contract award or a request for information under the Freedom of Information Act.
