Contract Specialist

Position Overview The Contract Specialist manages and oversees the contract lifecycle, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and providing strategic support in contract negotiations and administration. This role involves interaction with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining detailed contract documentation, and contributing to process improvements. Key Responsibilities Manage all aspects of government contracts, including drafting, negotiation, and executionEnsure contracts adhere to government regulations, policies, and proceduresMonitor contract performance for compliance and address issues promptlyEvaluate contract proposals and provide recommendationsConduct negotiations and facilitate contract modificationsMaintain accurate contract records and prepare reports Identify and mitigate contract-related risksCollaborate with internal stakeholders, government officials, and contractorsMonitor contract budgets and expenditures Required Skills Knowledge of contract law and regulatory requirementsProficiency in contract management software and toolsStrong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making abilitiesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to manage multiple complex tasks and meet tight deadlinesExperience with process improvement and team collaboration Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) and at least 3 years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree (MA/MS), or Associate’s degree and at least 7 years of relevant experienceSecret clearance requiredExperience in government contract administration or procurementComprehensive understanding of federal acquisition regulations (FAR) #mtsi #mtsijobs
