About the role

Responsible for preparing, reviewing, and managing vendor, service, commercial, and real estate contracts to ensure they align with company goals, policies, and legal regulations. Oversees the contract lifecycle management software (Contract Logix). Initiates negotiations to attain competitive rates before contracts are finalized by the CEO and/or CFO. Serves as a key liaison between internal departments and external partners to facilitate smooth and compliant contract execution. Also oversees property and auto claim investigations/management and completes the annual insurance application.

Responsibilities

  • Provide contract scenarios and market analysis.
  • Work with Materials Management and GPO to negotiate best rates on contracted services.
  • Coordinate with department leaders to monitor contract quality, financial metrics, renewals, and rates.
  • Coordinate with department leaders and outside agencies (such as auditors, legal counsel, accreditation, and regulatory) to support and prepare for audits, surveys, and corrective actions.
  • Provide the CFO with overall contract metrics, compliance, and financial performance.
  • Coordinate with multiple insurance brokers across different insurance markets and manage the renewal process.

Requirements

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and independent work skills.
  • Knowledge of contract types, general contract law and guidelines, procurement process, and risk management.
  • Subject matter expertise in contracts, lifecycle activities, and contract management software.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management, organization, and multitasking abilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Law, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Paralegal certificate preferred.
  • Certified Commercial Contracts Manager (CCCM) and/or Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) preferred.
  • 3+ years of healthcare experience in contract and contract lifecycle administration, and legal review preferred.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Involves standing, walking, stooping, and occasional carrying and lifting of lightweight materials (up to 20 pounds).
  • May require sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Requires visual acuity and depth perception to recognize words and numbers.
  • Requires hand and finger dexterity and hand/eye coordination to use a computer keyboard and common office equipment.
