Brief Description

WestEd is looking for a full service contract recruiter for 4-6 months. After a period of reduced opportunities, we are starting to see significant increases in our positions to be filled. This position will report to the Talent Acquisition Manager within the Human Resources team.

Position Overview

  • Meet with hiring managers to assess hiring needs.
  • Post job openings in the applicant tracking system.
  • Screens resume and conduct telephone interviews to pre-screen potential fit.
  • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
  • Schedule interviews for hiring managers.

The recruiter will have some assistance from internal staff to manage scheduling, but it will be important for them to manage the scheduling effort to make sure candidates are reviewed timely. The recruiter will be a “hiring coach” for the managers. The recruiter will work with the Talent Acquisition Manager on offers and any offer negotiations.

This position is remote and we are anticipating an average of at least 40 hours per week. Minimum availability should be core business hours (Pacific) of 10 am - 3 pm with flexibility on either side for a full 40-hour workweek.

The Ideal Candidate Will Bring

  • 5+ years’ of hands-on recruitment experience in a high-volume environment.
  • Experience recruiting positions in a wide range of subject matter areas but experience in the education, federal, or state disciplines or related field is required.
  • 5+ years’ experience with applicant tracking systems i.e., UltiPro/ UKG or comparable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication, project management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office /Outlook applications.
  • Bachelor's Degree or comparable experience in a related field preferred.

Pay

The anticipated hourly pay for this role is between $60-$70 hourly. The actual offer considers multiple factors, including but not limited to education, experience, internal equity, and other organizational needs.
