Contract Recruiter

This role partners closely with hiring managers to understand workforce needs, develop effective recruiting strategies, conduct interviews, extend employment offers, and provide an exceptional candidate experience throughout the hiring process. The Recruiter also collaborates with leadership to attract, recruit, and retain top talent while supporting workforce planning and organizational growth in the construction industry.

Responsibilities

• Partner with regional and corporate leadership to identify current and future staffing requirements.
• Address staffing shortages resulting from employee turnover.
• Support hiring efforts for new project start-ups and transitions.
• Recommend employee reassignments prior to project completion to maximize workforce utilization.
• Evaluate interns for potential full-time employment opportunities.
• Develop and execute recruiting strategies to meet workforce needs and support business growth initiatives.
• Recommend and participate in recruiting events, career fairs, and community outreach programs.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of recruiting events and sourcing strategies.
• Build relationships with military bases and other organizations through career fairs and outreach efforts.
• Ensure recruiting practices comply with all applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations.
• Create and post job advertisements across various recruiting platforms.
• Review resumes and employment applications to identify qualified candidates.
• Conduct phone screenings and interviews.
• Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers.
• Prepare and extend employment offer letters.
• Partner with staffing agencies, advertising firms, and other recruiting resources as needed.
• Stay informed on competitor hiring trends to support strategic recruiting efforts.
• Promote the organization's employer brand and value proposition to prospective candidates.
• Coordinate candidate travel and relocation arrangements when necessary.
• Assist with visa-related documentation as needed.
• Follow up with new hires and hiring managers to ensure a smooth onboarding experience.
• Build strong relationships with candidates through consistent communication while promoting the organization's culture and values.
• Maintain a recruiting network through industry associations, networking events, and professional relationships.
• Utilize the Learning Management System (LMS) and encourage employee participation in training and development programs.
• Manage the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and maintain accurate candidate records.
• Search internal resume databases to identify qualified candidates for open positions.
• Maintain recruiting documentation and ensure records remain organized and up to date.
• Utilize marketing resources to develop recruitment presentations and hiring materials.
• Participate in HR department meetings.
• Assist with the development and implementation of HR objectives, processes, and systems.

Pay

Determining compensation for this role depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certification requirements, office location and other geographic considerations, and other business and organizational needs. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses and participation in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's retirement plan (or similar retirement benefits).
