Contract Officer

About the role

This full-time position manages the overall contract administration process for assigned commodities, including coordination of kick-off meetings, communication with department contract managers and suppliers, stakeholder education on contract terms, performance monitoring, and resolution of non-performance. The role also plans, coordinates, and processes renewals, amendments, and modifications to existing contracts in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Management, Economics, Public Relations, or a related field.
• Two years of experience in public sector procurement.
• Or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
• State or National Procurement Certification is highly preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects/tasks in a high-volume work environment and meet required deadlines.
• Exceptional and professional customer service skills.
• Proficiency with a variety of information technology systems to perform daily tasks.
• Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check, and education/degree verification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate contract kick-off meetings and ongoing communication with department contract managers and suppliers.
• Educate stakeholders on key contract terms and appropriate utilization.
• Monitor contract performance and resolve non-performance issues, including cure and termination when necessary.
• Plan, coordinate, and process renewals, amendments, and modifications to existing contracts in a timely manner.

Pay

$56,107.00 – $85,563.00 annually.

Schedule

Monday – Friday; 8:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
