Contract-LVN-Med 1

Location: Methodist Hospital, Med 1 - 3rd Floor, Central Tower, 7700 Floyd Curl, San Antonio, TX 78229

About the Role

Contract LVN position on a 44-bed Medical-Surgical unit. The unit is staffed with 14 team members per shift and utilizes telemetry monitoring, vital sign equipment, glucometers, patient scales, and Meditech EMR.

Schedule

• Shift: Available per facility needs
• Patient Ratio: 1:5-6
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• On-Call: None

Unit Staffing Model

• Day Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 4 RNs, 4 LVNs, 4 PCTs, 1 Unit Clerk
• Night Shift: 1 Charge Nurse, 4 RNs, 4 LVNs, 4 PCTs, 1 Unit Clerk

Responsibilities

• Provide safe and effective nursing care in an inpatient Medical-Surgical setting
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment
• May float to Med 3 or 4 North Rehabilitation Unit as needed

Requirements

• Active LVN License
• BLS Certification
• Telemetry capable

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous inpatient hospital nursing experience
• Strong Medical-Surgical background
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
