Continuous Improvement Maintenance Technician

About the role
The WCM PM/AM Pillar Specialist will play a major role in the deployment of World Class Manufacturing within the Racine Manufacturing Facility. This position supports the implementation of PM Pillar methodology KPIs and problem-solving tools to drive a zero breakdown culture. Responsibilities include training and coaching team members, document development, implementation of maintenance theory, audit support, and leading gap closure action items.
Responsibilities
- Assist with all World Class Manufacturing (WCM) activities, including training and support for PM/AM pillar requirements
- Implement actions guided by the Pillar Leader to achieve strategic goals
- Establish and lead recurring meetings
- Follow up with PM/AM team members on open actions
- Identify gaps in the PM/AM pillar plan and support actions for closure
- Lead training to support improvement activities on different WCM methods
- Support PM/AM Pillar KPIs, Kaizens, and action plans
- Update, track, and maintain the PM/AM Pillar KPIs
- Become proficient in the use of WCM tools with the AST, Production Techs, and Maintenance team
- Develop a working knowledge of CMMS for data collection and reporting (FIIX), tracking PM/AM tags, and tag closure rate
- Follow up on breakdowns to ensure Emergency Work Orders (EWOs) are triggered and complete root cause analysis techniques with the PM/AM team to determine a single-point root cause
- Lead and support Kaizens on behalf of the PM/AM team
- Work with Technicians/Maintenance to assist with the development and documentation of Standard Maintenance Procedures (SMPs), One Point Lessons (OPLs), and other AM/PM pillar tools
- Support other pillar leads concerning the PM/AM pillar
- Complete all required paperwork, quality records, and documents
- Comply with all safety and work rules and regulations
- Maintain departmental housekeeping standards and clean/restock area at end of shift
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good project management skills for handling multiple activities
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Availability to work cross-over shifts (shift can be flexible)
