About the role

The Continuous Improvement Analyst will evaluate operational processes to identify and execute improvement initiatives. This role requires sound knowledge of warehouse and distribution processes, and the use of technology-based solutions to increase productivity, quality, and service levels. The ideal candidate will train employees at all levels on best practices, new technology, and tools, analyze operational processes, document prospective solutions, and present these to upper management.

Responsibilities

  • Work with 40+ facilities within the USCS network to drive efficiencies within everyday warehouse processes
  • Collaborate with a team of analysts to provide real-time analysis for any of the 40+ facilities
  • Identify and explain best practice deviations and provide recommendations for corrections
  • Provide rollout support and training for new technology or system functions
  • Become proficient in business applications such as Power BI to provide clean visual data to various departments
  • Become an expert in USCS’s warehouse management system and train other employees
  • Roll out and train operations employees on new technology and system changes
  • Use traditional continuous improvement methods to justify and replicate cost savings projects across the network
  • Maintain a professional demeanor in appearance and communications
  • Participate in staff and/or customer meetings as required
  • Take initiative to prevent non-conformities related to product, process, and quality systems
  • Identify and report any issues related to product, processes, and/or quality
  • Propose and implement solutions through appropriate channels
  • Ensure solutions are effectively implemented
  • Follow posted security procedures while in the building
  • Participate in safety and educational training programs

Requirements

  • Degree in Supply Chain or a similar field (equivalent business experience will be considered)
  • Excellent analytic skills
  • Knowledge of operational processes
  • At least two (2) years of warehouse operational experience
  • Ability to travel throughout the year up to 50%
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to schedule own tasks and handle all facets of assigned projects independently with minimal supervision
  • Physical ability to use computers, stand, walk, and lift as needed for everyday activities
  • Stand and walk for extended periods
  • Use hands to handle objects, tools, or controls
  • Attention to detail
  • Effective communication, vision, and hearing for safety and productivity
  • Operate scanners, tablets, radios, phones, computers, and other essential warehouse equipment
  • Additional work hours may be requested by management
  • Operate a registered motor vehicle if part of daily tasks
  • Engage in frequent personal interaction and communication
  • Strong arithmetic and reading skills
  • Follow verbal instructions, written instructions, and company policies
  • Be a self-starter, able to work independently and coordinate with others
  • Thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing stress and meeting productivity guidelines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite: Excel, Power BI, Copilot, Visio, PowerPoint, Outlook

Pay

Salary Range: $65,000.00 - $72,000.00/yr.

Schedule

  • Full-Time, Exempt
  • Salaried, Bi-Weekly Paid
  • Travel Amount: 25%-50%
  • Remote (Camden, NJ based)
