About the role
Ashby is looking for an ambitious Content Lead to own and evolve our Talent Trends strategy. This role is about building a signature brand pillar, not inheriting existing work. You'll set the editorial vision, identify critical questions for recruiting leaders, and innovate on format, depth, and storytelling. You'll become the market-facing voice of Talent Trends, moderating panels, personalizing insights for key customers, and developing out-of-the-box campaigns. You will take full ownership of 10xing the program across design improvements, publishing velocity, and multi-media distribution online and in-person.
What you'll be responsible for
- Evolve Ashby's Talent Trends strategy. Set the editorial vision, identify the most critical questions to answer for recruiting leaders, and continuously innovate on format, depth, and storytelling.
- Be the voice of Talent Trends. Become the person the industry associates with Ashby's talent data — narrating findings, moderating panels, and representing the brand across reports, stages, and screens.
- Lead cross-functional collaboration with authority. Align Data, Design, and Leadership stakeholders, make tough calls on scope, and ensure every deliverable meets the bar of clarity, impact, and brand alignment.
- Put customers at the center. Ensure people behind the data get the spotlight by working closely with Customer Success on expert identification.
- Bring Talent Trends to life for individual accounts. Make data resonate for specific customers and prospects by partnering across the org to put the right insight in front of the right audience at the right moment.
- Raise the bar on quality and impact. Champion design excellence, richer insight development, and stronger distribution to shape the conversation in the recruiting industry.
- Keep the brand consistent everywhere it shows up. Ensure reports, live events, video, personalized campaigns, and the website all feel like one coherent Talent Trends brand.
- Follow your intuition over playbooks. Know your customer closely and evolve your work to meet their needs — even if that means trying something never been done.
- Own all operational work around your content programs. Write your own copy for social media, landing pages, emails, and beyond as an end-to-end marketer.
You will probably love this role if
- You're motivated by building something foundational, shaping Talent Trends as a signature brand pillar.
- You're equally comfortable with big-picture strategy and end-to-end ownership — setting vision and rolling up your sleeves.
- You get energy from data-driven storytelling, turning complex findings into clear, compelling narratives.
- You are a straightforward writer who can translate difficult insights into easy-to-understand narratives.
- You thrive at cross-functional leadership, aligning teams around a shared vision while making decisive calls.
- You want to grow as a market-facing voice through written, audio, and video formats.
- You have charisma that makes speaking in front of a crowd feel second-nature.
This role is not for you if
- You're looking for a traditional content role primarily focused on writing or publishing volume.
- You are not data curious or could not answer thoughtful questions about the analysis behind our reports.
- You prefer to follow established playbooks rather than inventing new ways to educate, distribute, and engage.
- You want to stay behind the scenes — success requires developing your own external voice.
- You're uncomfortable with autonomy or struggle to work independently in a low-meeting, high-ownership culture.
- You are not interested in learning SaaS products deeply enough to confidently do a sales demo.
- You operate solely off specific traffic or lead gen KPIs rather than developing the best content in the space.
