Content / Copy Writer

About the role

The Sports client is seeking a Content Copy Writer to join their team starting mid-August. The role requires 10-15 hours per week, ideally on Mondays-Wednesdays, and is fully remote. The hiring manager is based in PST time zone.

Responsibilities

• Write newsletter copy, rehashing existing articles into a few paragraphs of original content
• Craft headlines and taglines across various content needs
• Write copy for paid media campaigns, including sweepstakes promotions
• Turn around content quickly to meet fast-moving deadlines

Requirements

• A passion for the sports industry (tennis, in particular)
• Editorial background with strong writing fundamentals
• Ability to work with urgency and prioritize fast turnarounds
• High responsiveness and availability, especially early in the week

Nice to have

• Experience working in the sports industry
