About the role
The Department Consumer Services - SFV - Transition 2 Supervision position at North Los Angeles County Regional Center (NLACRC) involves providing information, advocacy, and service arrangements for consumers and families. This role also includes developing, monitoring, and revising program plans for individuals, identifying and coordinating services, advocating for individuals, and rotating officer-of-the-day duties.
Responsibilities
- Provides information, advocacy, and service arrangements for consumers and families.
- Develops, monitors, and revises program plans for individuals.
- Identifies and coordinates services for individuals and their families.
- Documents, completes forms, and reports in accordance with regulations and NLACRC policies and procedures.
- Serves as an advocate for individuals served by community agencies.
- Schedules and attends interdisciplinary meetings with individuals served, family members, service providers, advocates, etc.
- Identifies barriers to service delivery and implements culturally sensitive strategies that embody empathy, trust, and respect.
- Rotates officer-of-the-day duties with other Service Coordinators.
- Assists co-workers with special projects and unique situations.
- Provides case-coverage as needed.
- Provides emergency on-call services when required.
Requirements
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, sociology, or related human services field, or in a related field, with five years of Regional Center experience; or Master’s degree in psychology, social work, sociology, or related human services field, or in a related field, with two years of related professional/leadership experience; or Master’s Degree in an unrelated field with three to five years of related professional/leadership experience; or Three to five years of related professional/leadership experience should include service coordination at a Regional Center or related experiences.
- Experience: Previous experience with mental health/dual diagnosis, crisis intervention, and knowledge of forensic/judicial systems, diversion, probation, etc., highly preferred.
- Skills: Understanding of family systems and appreciation for person-centered planning and thinking; empowering individuals to achieve their goals; knowledge of intellectual and developmental disabilities; good organizational skills; demonstrated ability to work independently and cooperatively as a part of an interdisciplinary team; excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency with MS Word and MS Outlook.
Qualifications
- Valid California Driver’s License and reliable transportation, or acceptable substitute, required.
- Bilingual Spanish may be required dependent upon position.

Pay
Regular Salary: Annually $87,661.04 - $124,259.50
