Requirements
Qualifications:
- Specialized experience: Knowledge of the properties and characteristics of regulated food commodities or other products for human consumption.
- For the GS-05 Level: Experience in sampling, quality control, and sanitation in a food manufacturing or production environment.
- For the GS-07 Level: One year of specialized experience, independently carrying out routine, standard assignments.
- For the GS-08 Level: Working with the Federal Meat, Poultry, and Egg Products Inspection Acts, SSOP and HACCP principles and practices, and performing testing and sampling procedures.
- For the GS-09 Level: More independent level duties, including recommending refusal of exports and providing temporary coverage.
