Through In-Home Usage Testing (IHUT), these programs collect real-world consumer feedback to help businesses evaluate products, improve product development, and understand consumer experiences.

About the Role

The Consumer Opinion Research Participant participates in product testing and consumer research projects from home. Participants receive products to test, follow detailed project instructions, document their experiences, and provide honest opinions and feedback.

This is an entry-level, flexible opportunity with no previous experience required. Participants may work approximately 15–25 hours per week, depending on the assigned project.

Note: Although the listing displays “Onsite” for Sitka, Alaska, the work is performed from home nationwide in the U.S.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in assigned In-Home Usage Testing projects
  • Follow the testing schedule provided for each project
  • Use and care for products responsibly
  • Document testing activities through photos, screenshots, videos, audio recordings, or product journals when requested
  • Complete online or mobile questionnaires and feedback activities
  • Write product reviews according to project instructions
  • Participate in private research discussions when required
  • Maintain confidentiality regarding products and research information when required
  • Submit accurate feedback and documentation within project deadlines
  • Work remotely from home or another suitable location

Requirements

  • Must be 18 years or older
  • No previous product-testing or market-research experience required
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • Honest, reliable, and responsible
  • Curious and willing to provide genuine consumer opinions
  • Able to follow specific instructions
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Able to commit to assigned testing schedules
  • Have access to a computer and reliable internet connection
  • Have access to a smartphone or digital camera capable of taking photographs
  • Complete approximately 15–25 hours per week, depending on project requirements
