About the role
Ahold Delhaize USA’s 12-week paid internship offers hands-on experience in the fast-changing grocery retail industry, with cohorts designed to build business, technical, and leadership skills. The program emphasizes diversity, innovation, and leadership through meaningful project work, learning sessions, mentorship, and networking. Interns will have the opportunity to present their work to company leaders and participate in community service events.
Responsibilities
- Support the preparation of presentations and reports that translate complex insights into clear, actionable stories for stakeholders.
- Assist in developing and curating materials for cross-functional teams and executive audiences.
- Contribute to the management of the Consumer Insights & Analytics team’s roadmap by tracking projects, organizing documentation, and coordinating communications.
- Conduct research for executive escalations and strategic studies, including gathering and analyzing data, synthesizing findings, and preparing reports or notes.
- Collaborate with qualitative and quantitative research teams to understand customer value, market trends, and competitive performance.
- Support advanced analytics projects using transactional data, third-party sources, and predictive modeling to inform business decisions.
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Statistics, Mathematics, Psychology, Sociology, or a related field.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear and engaging narratives from data and insights.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Curiosity about consumer behavior, market trends, data analysis, and how insights inform strategic decisions.
- Experience using presentation, spreadsheet, and digital tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, or similar).
- Proficiency in SQL, R, or Python.
- Proactive mindset with a strong desire to learn and collaborate effectively in a team environment.
- Previous research or project coordination experience is a plus but not required.
Schedule
Hybrid work environment requiring a minimum of three days per week in the office. Internship runs from May 24, 2027, through August 13, 2027.
Pay
Individual cohort pay rates vary based on location, academic year, and position:
- ME/NC/PA/SC: $18.10 – $34.20 per hour
- IL/MA/MD: $20.00 – $37.80 per hour
