About the Role
Keystone Engineering Inc. is seeking a Consulting Civil Engineer. This position is based in Baton Rouge, LA and involves occasional site visits.
Responsibilities
- Performs advanced engineering calculations, analyses, and other tasks using prescribed methods and procedures.
- Interfaces with other technical disciplines, vendors, and contractors.
- Interfaces with Drafting to provide any required information and reviews Drafting’s work.
- Prepares specifications detailing performance requirements, design data, applicable codes/standards, and vendor drawing requirements.
- Affixes all project information into the project files.
- Participates in site visits.
- Serves as Lead Discipline Engineer on larger projects.
- Assists with mentoring less experienced engineers.
- Builds strong client relationships that generate repeat business.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science or higher in Civil Engineering or equivalent with a Structural focus from ABET accredited institution.
- 15+ years of Civil/Structural design experience.
- P.E. License.
Qualifications
- Strong Written and verbal communication skills.
- Self-motivated, creative, organized, and solution advocate.
Skills
- Proficient in the use of SACS and/or RISA analysis software packages.
