About the role

The Consultant, Sales and Service role at the University of the Pacific is a key position within the Playfly Sports team. This role involves acting as the primary liaison between the University's Athletics Department and its current client base, focusing on renewing and growing season ticket accounts, and generating new business through various methods.

Responsibilities

  • Generate revenue through renewals, cross-selling, upgrades, add-ons, group tickets, experiences, partial/mini-plan packages, single game tickets, and stand-alone donations
  • Prospect and maintain relationships with current and past customers, cold leads, local businesses, and individuals via phone, email, text, in-person appointments, and networking events
  • Make a minimum of 60 outbound calls daily, while meeting or exceeding established sales activity and revenue goals
  • Manage and retain a large account base including premium seating, season ticket members, and group sales, executing retention programs and building long-term relationships
  • Conduct onsite and offsite appointments to grow relationships and revenue within the current fan base
  • Service general fan questions and convert inquiries into ticket packages
  • Utilize strategic ticketing programs, promotions, and sales strategies to drive season ticket revenue
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all prospects and customers within the ticketing database
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all fans, donors, sponsors, and prospective buyers

Requirements

Experience with ticketing software and CRM programs is preferred, but not required. Vivenu ticketing software experience is a plus. Availability to work outside typical office hours including nights and weekends is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required
  • Experience in ticket sales is preferred but not required
  • Previous customer service or retail sales experience; display a genuine desire to help people
  • Computer proficient (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and listening skills
  • Ability to work well with others and comfortable taking initiative
  • Ability to encourage collaboration, flexibility, equity, and inclusion that enables colleagues to contribute to their full potential, feel valued, and supported
