Consultant Research Fellow - DEA-NIPFP Research Program

The National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP) is recruiting for two Research Fellow positions to work on a project for the research study on "Macroeconomic Modelling of Oil Price Shocks on Indian Economy" with NITI AAYOG. The position is initially for six months, renewal subject to performance and fund availability.

About the role

Research Fellows will contribute to the development and analysis of macroeconomic models related to oil price shocks on the Indian economy under the guidance of senior researchers at NIPFP. They will engage in data collection, model building, and report writing.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and analysis of macroeconomic models related to oil price shocks on the Indian economy.
• Collect and analyze economic data relevant to the study.
• Build and calibrate economic models using statistical software.
• Write reports summarizing findings and recommendations.

Requirements

• PhD in Economics or a related field with a strong background in econometrics and macroeconomics.
• Experience in working with large datasets and conducting empirical research.
• Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret complex economic data.
• Excellent communication and report writing skills.
