Consultant Physician in Acute or General Internal Medicine

About the role

The role involves providing initial care for acutely unwell adults across a range of medical presentations. It also includes managing inpatients and conducting general medical clinics.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial care for acutely unwell adults across a range of medical presentations.
• Manage inpatients under one's name.
• Conduct general medical clinics.
• Collaborate with the medical team and other consultants for mutual support and advice.
• Seek support from locally based colleagues and specialist colleagues in Aberdeen Royal Infirmary.

Requirements

• An interest in Medicine for the Elderly is desirable but not essential.
• Full time position, 40 hours per week.
• Fixed term contract of 12 months.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should have a background in Acute or General Medicine.

Skills

Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively, and a commitment to patient-centered care are essential.

Benefits

• Distant Island Allowance of £2,578 per annum.
• Relocation Assistance of up to £4,000.

Pay

Salary in range £111,430 - £148,064 per annum.

Schedule

Full time position, 40 hours per week.
