Summary

The Financial Reporting group assists internal and external clients with annual audits and SEC filings for a variety of registered and non-registered funds, including mutual funds, partnerships, and hedge funds. The group prepares and reviews fund financial statements, ensures accuracy and quality, and supports audit firms during their annual fund audits. Additionally, the group handles SEC Form N-CSR, N-MFP, and N-PORT Part F filings for registered mutual funds.

Working Model

We operate on a hybrid model, allowing for flexibility between office and remote work.

Major Duties

  • Review staff preparations of fund financial statements and schedules of investments, and coordinate and draft notes to financial statements for annual and semiannual shareholder reports for registered and non-registered funds.
  • Review schedules of investments for registered funds N-PORT Part F filings.
  • Coordinate audits related to staff assignments of auditor open items and client questions and comments.
  • Provide technical support for staff regarding new investment/derivative products, financial statement preparation questions, and auditor inquiries.
  • Aid in the on-boarding of new clients.
  • Complete ad hoc duties and projects as assigned.

Experience Required

  • 4 - 6 years of recent experience in Fund Administration/Financial Reporting industry or related relevant industry.
  • 2 years of supervisory or management experience.
  • Degree in accounting/finance or CPA preferred.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft products.
  • Knowledge of Global InvestOne, Bloomberg, and financial reporting systems a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to make difficult decisions and work with limited supervision.
  • Strong performance with high standards of integrity and work ethic.

Salary Range

$66,700 - 113,300 USD

The salary range is a good faith estimate of base pay. Northern Trust offers a comprehensive benefits package including retirement benefits, health and welfare benefits, paid time off, parental and caregiver leave, life & accident insurance, and various voluntary and well-being benefits. A discretionary bonus program may also be included, with an equity component.
