Role Responsibilities
- Hands-on Configuration: Partner with the Lead Architect to configure and deploy Salesforce Revenue Cloud Billing solutions, specializing in order orchestration, billing schedules, and automated invoice generation.
- Financial Feature Setup: Implement and test complex billing treatments, tax rules (e.g., Avalara), payment gateway connections, and dunning processes based on established architectural designs.
- Revenue Recognition Execution: Set up and maintain Revenue Recognition rules, finance books, and revenue distributions to ensure compliance with ASC 606 / IFRS 15 standards.
- Subscription & Usage Lifecycle: Configure billing rules for various monetization models, including evergreen subscriptions, usage/consumption-based pricing, milestone billing, and mid-term amendments.
- Testing & Business Alignment: Drive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles alongside finance and accounting stakeholders, ensuring the configured billing engine aligns perfectly with corporate ledger requirements.
- Data & Integration Support: Assist technical teams in mapping data fields between Salesforce Billing and downstream ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP) to ensure clean general ledger (G/L) integration.
Experience/Skills Required
- Experience: 2–4 years of hands-on configuration and implementation experience specifically within Salesforce Revenue Cloud Billing (formerly Salesforce Billing).
- Skills: Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist (Required); Salesforce Certified Revenue Cloud Consultant (Highly Preferred or actively pursuing).
- Functional Knowledge: Solid understanding of standard finance and accounting concepts, such as accounts receivable (A/R), credit/debit notes, and revenue recognition triggers.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong declarative development skills (Flows, validation rules) and experience using Data Loader for complex financial data migrations.
- Ability to travel as required to client sites
Additional Preferred Experience/Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, or equivalent experience
- Operational experience in channel sales, field sales, inside sales, sales operations, marketing operations, digital marketing, customer service, customer support, field service, or account management
- Finance or accounting experience is a plus
- Experience creating Salesforce technical requirements specifications for custom development is a plus
