Consultant

Responsibilities

• Works on the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting critical infrastructure such as pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities
• Promotes the integration of advanced technologies including automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage to enhance system performance and reduce operational costs
• Implements robust safety measures such as arc flash mitigation and fault detection systems to protect personnel and ensure infrastructure reliability
• Provides technical expertise in power distribution, electrical schematics, and system layouts for both new construction and upgrades to existing facilities
• Participates in complex engineering projects from concept to completion ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budget constraints
• Ensures compliance with all relevant safety, environmental and regulatory standards across electrical systems and project execution
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet internal and external customer needs

Requirements

• Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred
• Knowledge in power system design, analysis, and simulation (e.g., ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, Simulink or similar tools) preferred
• Understanding of grid integration and renewable energy systems preferred
• Experience with PLCs preferred
• Project Management experience preferred
• Experience working in Preliminary-Front End Engineering and Design (Pre-FEED), Front End Engineering Design (FEED), or Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) of small to medium facility projects preferred
• Supports the designing and implantation of Instrumentation systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems preferred
