Responsibilities
- Works on the design, implementation, and optimization of electrical systems and power distribution networks supporting critical infrastructure such as pipelines, compressor stations, and storage facilities
- Promotes the integration of advanced technologies including automation, real-time monitoring, and energy storage to enhance system performance and reduce operational costs
- Implements robust safety measures such as arc flash mitigation and fault detection systems to protect personnel and ensure infrastructure reliability
- Provides technical expertise in power distribution, electrical schematics, and system layouts for both new construction and upgrades to existing facilities
- Participates in complex engineering projects from concept to completion ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and budget constraints
- Ensures compliance with all relevant safety, environmental and regulatory standards across electrical systems and project execution
- Collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver engineering solutions that meet internal and external customer needs
Requirements
- Demonstrates excellent organizational/interpersonal skills and safety as a main priority
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Application and PC skills
- Professional Engineer (PE) licensure preferred
- Knowledge in power system design, analysis, and simulation (e.g., ETAP, MATLAB, PSCAD, Simulink or similar tools) preferred
- Understanding of grid integration and renewable energy systems preferred
- Experience with PLCs preferred
- Project Management experience preferred
- Experience working in Preliminary-Front End Engineering and Design (Pre-FEED), Front End Engineering Design (FEED), or Engineering, Procurement, Construction (EPC) of small to medium facility projects preferred
- Supports the designing and implantation of Instrumentation systems, including Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) and Human Machine Interface (HMI) systems preferred
