Key Responsibilities
- Operates medium sized equipment, such as skid-steers, forklifts, surfacing equipment, dock cranes, man lifts, telescoping lifts etc.
- Scaffolding staging, assembly, and safety.
- Wood framing, window and door installation and roofing.
- Interior carpentry finishing and sheetrock.
- Installing ventilation ducting and plumbing fixtures.
- Concrete forming, reinforcing, and placing.
- Ensures strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe workplace.
- Travels to AK plants as needed to assist and provide additional coverage.
Additional Responsibilities
- Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.
- Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
Employees working in Alaska are advised to have medical insurance coverage which is valid in the State of Alaska.
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in carpentry or construction.
- HS Diploma or equivalent.
- Preferred: Associate’s Degree, or skilled trades graduate, Basic understanding of hand tools, Minimal experience with power tools, Experience with basic concrete and carpentry.
- Training: OSHA 10 -required, company will provide.
Physical Demands
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is frequently required to climb or balance.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
- The employee moves objects. regularly up to 10 pounds frequently up to 25 pounds occasionally up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include distance vision, peripheral vision and depth perception.
Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and moving mechanical parts.
- The employee is frequently exposed to outside weather conditions.
- The employee is occasionally exposed to high, precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; extreme cold; risk of electrical shock and vibration.
- The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
