About the role
Teach Construction Technology program courses at the Hutchinson Correctional Facility. -
Responsibilities
- Teach within a flexible training schedule including day and evening assignments. - Utilize alternative delivery systems like online. - Work closely with KDOC representatives to adhere to their policies. - Respond to student needs. - Teach at other Hutchinson Community College locations as assigned. - Perform lab exercises and assignments to meet current industry codes and standards. - Design, develop, and maintain course curriculum, materials, assessments, and evaluations. - Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas. - Maintain records and files as requested. - Participate in program advisory committees. - Attend required college meetings and in-service activities. - Pursue professional development through relevant classes, workshops, or seminars. - Arrive on time, attend regularly, and complete responsibilities. - Comply with HutchCC policies, procedures, and practices. -
Qualifications
- Ability to perform lab exercises and assignments. - Awareness of and ability to maintain applicable shop and lab safety standards. - Proficiency in using instructional training aids and preparing materials. - Experience working with representatives from KDOC. - Knowledge of current industry codes and standards. - Familiarity with state and program standards.
