About the role

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Construction Trainer with day-to-day instruction management to include supervising small groups of students on projects;
  • Provide individual instruction to each student that needs assistance with catching up on assignments;
  • Affiliate with monitoring students during class time, while the Construction Trainer is teaching;
  • Effectively maintain paperwork related to tracking attendance, program progress, payroll, and IT matters;
  • Build positive relationships with students and provide encouragement for each student to perform at their best;
  • Prepare and set up assigned projects, as requested;
  • Attend and actively participate in team meetings;
  • Perform special projects as assigned by manager;

Requirements

Bachelor’s level degree in Human Services, Business, or equivalent field of study from an accredited college; Prior experience in youth training, strongly preferred;

Qualifications

  • May need to be CPR, First Aid, and AEC certified upon hire or within 60 days of hire;
  • Possess a passion for inclusion, equity, and sustainability;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication with strong interpersonal skills;
  • Strong project management, and organizational skills;
  • Demonstrated dependability with a can-do attitude;
  • Must be willing and able to work days, evenings, and weekends, as necessary;
  • Computer skills sufficient to perform essential functions including knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Must be 21 years old with a valid driver's license with at least 3 years driving experience in the U.S. to operate a vehicle on behalf of Bethany;
  • Must pass a Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) check and maintain a reliable vehicle with proof of adequate coverage;
  • Pass a criminal history screen, including state and local child protection agency registries;

Skills

  • Pass a subscription to and integration of the agency Statement of Faith, Mission Statement, and Commitment to Unity.
